Description
Natural stone mosaics from Stone Source are created from select marble, limestone, and basalt tiles, many of which can be paired with matching field tiles and slabs.
Colors and Finishes
There are twenty-two mosaic colors. Tundra Gray, Crema Ella, Opus Azzuro, Opus Giallo, Opus Marrone, Opus Verde, and Thassos are offered with a polished finish while White Carrara, Inca Gray, Black Silk, Novelda Oscuro, and Opus White are available in a matte finish. Bianco Dolomiti and Calacatta are offered in both finishes. White Gold Quartzite has a cleft finish with snap cut edges.
Sizes
With the exception of the Opus Mosaics, Thassos, and White Gold Quartzite, each color and pattern is offered in two nominal sizes, 5/8"x1-1/4" and 5/8"x5/8" which are mounted on a mesh backing. The Opus mosaics are a face mounted random pattern of 1-1/8"x1-1/8", 3/4"x3/8", and 3/8"x3/8" tiles. Calacatta is available in 1-1/4"x1-1/4" and 1-1/4"x4" sizes. The Thassos mosaic has a 5/8" hexagonal pattern and the White Gold Quartzite mosaic is a random pattern of 2", 4", & 6"x2" tiles, both of which are mesh mounted. In addition to the standard sizes, Bianco Dolomiti is offered in a 1"x4" and 2"x4" sizes. All mosaics are mounted on 12"x12" sheets and have a thickness of 3/8" with a 1/16" grout line.
Installation and Maintenance
Mosaics can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. Use high quality adhesive and grout from such manufacturers as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers' recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean regularly with mild neutral detergent.
